Vintage J. Taylor Library Card Filling Cabinet.
A wonderful early 20th century golden oak twelve drawer chest of drawers. This beautiful office cabinet was used as an index card filing system, each drawer would house two rows of cards and was used in a library or for office records. The bank of drawers with two metal trade labels 'J. Taylor, 6 Harcourt Rd., Furniture Manufacturer, Works Harcourt Lane, Phone 4355 Dublin'. Each drawer fitted with a single brass cup handle and two brass label holders. The office cabinet raised on two bun feet to the front and two square legs to the rear. A great looking piece with the brass ware and very useful. There are two paper labels stuck to the inside 'This drawer was borrowed by Mr. Carty, on "Long loan", 23.9.1933' and 'This drawer was missing when Bureau brought to Office. 1931'.
