An original Edwardian Perrier Rules of Golf book with illustrations by Charles Crombie. The wonderful oblong book contains the full 24 humorous chromolithographic illustrations of golfers dressed in medieval costumes in impossible situations accompanied with captions and rules. Bound in the publisher's hardback folder with green cloth cover and with the red title "The Rules of Golf Illustrated". It is an original production with the Perrier adverts on the reverse side, copyright of Perrier, published by Golf Illustrated and printed by Bemrose of Derby. The comical Crombie prints on the rules of golf were first published in book form by Perrier in 1905 and were reprinted shortly thereafter.
The 24 coloured plates are with great strong colouring (first page with small tear), spine in excellent condition all pages secure, but loose from cover, otherwise a very good edition.
