Vintage John MacPherson Leather Cartridge Magazine Case.
A fine large leather shooting cartridge magazine case by John MacPherson Of Inverness. The high quality cartridge case with oak carcass covered in tan leather, it has a working brass lock but no key. The magazine case is in very good original condition with brass corner protectors and single leather central carry handle. The interior with polished oak finish and containing five oak removable dividers, making six compartments, with adjustable cartridge lifting straps. The inside of the lid is dark red baize with a John MacPherson trade label.
A cartridge magazine is a traditional method of storing cartridges between shoots. When on a shoot the cartridges needed would be removed and placed in a cartridge bag.
The shooting print is sold separately.
