Les Leston GP Motor Racing Helmet, Dieter Selzer.
A very fine motor racing crash helmet, believed to be the former property of the racing driver Dieter Selzer. Selzer was the German GT Champion and winner of the 1960, 86 hour marathon De La Route Nurburgring racing a Porsche Carrera. The helmet has a cork interior, fitted with a leather headband with webbing straps keeping a space between the head and outer case of the helmet. Material and leather neck and ear flaps are also fitted as is a chin strap. The helmet comes with the original removable peak and full face visor. There is a Les Leston trade label on the interior of the helmet and it is a size 7 ¼.
