Vintage A.C.U. Motorcycle Racing Crash Helmet, Everoak.
A fine black painted motorcycle, pudding basin shape helmet made in England by Everoak. This helmet has a cork interior, fitted with a leather headband and straps keeping a space between the head and outer case of the helmet. Strong leather neck and ear flaps are also fitted as is a chin strap. Inside the helmet there is an Everoak trade label, British kite mark (BS 2001/56) and the leather head band marked in gold paint 'This helmet conforms to A.C.U. requirements'. This means it complies with the Auto Cycle Union's standard for motorcycle helmets for racing use, the leather also has the A.C.U perforation mark.
