Vintage Eight Mallet Croquet Set By Slazenger.
A good quality Victorian eight-mallet croquet set in original pine box, all the mallet heads are marked 'Slazenger, LONDON'. The heads are made from boxwood and are fitted with ash handles which have coloured rings from one to four in red and blue for the different players. To complete the set there are eight boxwood balls with the same number of coloured rings to match the mallets, ten bent metal hoops (one with a hook and bell) two ornately turned posts, one painted with two sets of numbers 1,2,3,4 in red and blue bands, and 8 metal clips to clip on the hoops to show when a certain ball has passed through.
A wonderful 8 mallet garden croquet set in excellent condition.
Mallets are 38¼ inches in length.
