Unusual Long bow
Unusual Long bow
Unusual Two-piece sporting longbow.
An unusual laminated longbow that pulls apart in the center for ease of transportation and storage. The brass tube grip is with leather arrow rest and is fixed to one half of the bow, the other half smoothly slides in to complete the bow. One piece measures 94 cm, the other with brass handle measures 102½ cm. The wonderful bow is probably made from two layers of ash, or even a layer of hickory. There are no makers stamp, but it is stamped 65F, 19K.
The length measurement is between the grooves on the tips of the bow.
