Vintage Hardy Split Cane 'Palakona' Fly Fishing Rod.
The Hardy 'Keith Rollo' rod is a split cane Palakona 3-piece trout fly rod with spare tip made by Hardy's of Alnwick. This rod is in very good, original condition, with suction joints and wooden stoppers, butt and end agate rings, intermediate steel snake rings, cork handle and universal reel fitting. No intermediate tyings, rings and joints tied with cane-coloured silk. The rod has the registration number E58568 dating it to 1946. The rod is 9' 6½" long and comes with an old canvas bag. The rod has the black inscription spiralling around the shaft 'The Keith Rollo, 'Palakona', Regd Trade Mark'.
