Le Tennis Par Louis Moreau, Spelter Tennis Statuettes.
A pair of large tennis player sculptures, one male and one female, made in spelter after Louis Moreau (1855-1919). Both players are holding lawn tennis rackets, the lady also holding a tennis ball in her left hand ready to serve. The figures cast on integral circular plinths with impressed signature Louis Moreau, with the inscription "Le Tennis Par Louis Moreau" on a brass plaques mounted on the bases. The figures are then mounted on turned ebonised wooden bases with baize covered bottoms. The tennis players with good colour and patina.
